Youngsters and teachers from Craigton Primary school took to the stage recently and raised £350 for Malawi.
The school’s pupil council host an annual charity event and this year decided that MLOL was going to benefit from their fundraising efforts.
During the afternoon fun, every member of staff takes part in a variety of tribute acts – unsurprisingly this part of the annual performance has become something of a highlight for the pupils!
As Mary Clare Boyce, Craigton’s depute head teacher, explains: “The staff really enter into the spirit and a lot of time and effort is spent on their costumes and make-up.
“The children love it. Each class holds auditions and votes for the act they want to represent them at the final performance.
“Everyone has a lot of fun and it’s an added bonus that we have raised money for such a worthy cause.”
